As you may recall, a couple of months ago I reviewed a snack called Mozaics. Today I am reviewing another product in the Deliciousness line called CrrrunchBites.
CrrrunchBites are whole roasted almonds wrapped in either a potato chip or rice cracker shell. They come in six delicious flavors:
BBQ Almonds
Chili Lime Almonds
Honey Mustard Almonds
Nacho Almonds
Ranch Almonds
Sea Salt Almonds
These CrrrunchBites are addictive! I am a big almond fan, and the crispy outer shell adds another layer of flavor that is really unique.
It would be a good idea to keep a bag of CrrrunchBites on hand for your next get together for guests to munch on. Don’t they look festive in this cupcake liner?
CrrrunchBites are also good for keeping at work because they are a low-sugar snack with protein and fiber that will help you get through the day. I know that D’s co-workers will all be asking for some when they see them at his desk. The resealable bag helps to keep them fresh.
Use discount code CRRRUNCH20 at checkout for 20% off any CrrrunchBites 6 pack on Amazon.
I am holding a giveaway where three of my readers will each win three bags of CrrrunchBites!

Japanese and Korean beauty products seem to be growing in popularity here in the United States. I have not had the chance to try too many, so I was excited to review the nomakenolife subscription box. Each month’s box contains a different selection of beauty products from both Japan and Korea.
Here are some of my thoughts regarding each item that I received in the May 2019 No Make No Life Box.
When I first saw this tool I had no idea what it is for and the directions on the package are in Japanese. However, according to the little booklet that comes with the box, “An important part of Japanese and Korean skin care routines is using lotion and gently patting your skin until the product has been absorbed…”. Leave it to the Japanese to make this tool in the shape of a panda bear! Have you ever heard of such a tool?
I like a good lip tint. The color is sheer and lasts longer than lipstick. The color of this one is called No. 4 Espresso Jam. This color is a little too orange for my taste, but I do like the consistency and wear of this tint.
These are sheets that can be used on your body (not face) to stay fresh and moisturized. Grapefruit is my all-time favorite scent, so I was excited about this one. I like how these would travel well.
Love the packaging for this product. It would be so cute as a gift topper, don’t you think? I will have to take a bath soon, just to try it out.
I like how this cleansing pad removes makeup and gently exfoliates your skin. It is also nice that it is washable so it can be reused.
I must say, the packaging for this mask is not appealing to me. Why would I want to wear a mask that makes me look like I am in a horror movie? I guess it might be fun as a Halloween present. However, I felt like this mask does not go along with the whole vibe of the other products in this box.
I am always looking for a good mascara. I have heard of Etude House, but have not tried any of their products. I like how this is a true black mascara, and that it is clump-free.
These sheets use Alkaline electrolyzed water to help clean makeup brushes. I am sure I do not clean my makeup brushes often enough, so this is a good addition to my makeup drawer.
The nomakenolife subscription box offers a nice variety of products in one box. This box contained six Japanese products and 2 Korean products (I am not sure if it is usually more balanced between the two). The monthly box contains 8-9 items, and costs $35 a month with free shipping included. If you or someone you know is interested in trying out Japanese and Korean beauty products, it is worth trying out!

Elisabeth Elliot (1926-2015) was a prolific and popular Christian author. One of her books, Joyful Surrender, 7 Disciplines for the Believer’s Life, was originally published in 1982 and republished this year. Even though Elliot wrote the book over thirty years ago, the Biblical wisdom she imparts is still relevant for today.
The seven disciplines Elliot covers in this book are:
The Discipline of the Body
The Discipline of the Mind
The Discipline of Place
The Discipline of Time
The Discipline of Possessions
The Discipline of Work
The Discipline of Feelings
Discipline is a topic that probably turns some people off from Christianity. The word discipline sounds rigid and not like much fun. However, God calls us to obey Him, but that obedience requires discipline. Elliot shows how this discipline should take place in every aspect of our lives, and that discipline can ultimately bring us joy!
Trying to live a disciplined life by ourselves is impossible. Although Elliot offers practical advice on how we can develop certain habits and thinking, she also emphasizes how we need to ultimately rely on God during our journey to a disciplined life. If you know Elliot’s story, she went through difficult times that most of us cannot even imagine. Joyful Surrender is a testament to how we can continue to obey God’s desire for us to live a disciplined life for Him despite our trials. Elliot’s life is an example through which we can all learn.

As you may have heard, Southern California experienced a “Superbloom” this year thanks to the rain we received in this winter. While the explosion of flowers everywhere is a sight to behold, it can also mean trouble for those who experience seasonal allergies.
Similisan has a product called Allergy Eye Relief that helps relieve allergy symptoms such as itching, burning, watering and redness. This product is unique because it is made with natural active ingredients and does not contain harsh chemicals, antihistamines, or vasoconstrictors.
I tried out the Allergy Eye Relief and it offered the moisture that I need for my sometimes red and itchy eyes.
Similisan also offers other products, including Pink Eye Relief and Earache Relief. It is nice to know that Similisan is a brand that has products that can offer temporary relief of such symptoms using natural ingredients.

Have you heard of Brick Mates? My son loves to build things with his hands, so I knew he would enjoy playing with their Stack By Numbers kits.
Each kit comes with everything you need to create a 3D piece of art that can be hung on a wall. The building process allows kids to use their problem-solving strategies, develop fine motor skills, as well as practice math skills such as counting, quantifying and patterning.
n had a lot of fun putting his picture together and he really liked the 3-D effect of the end product! The Stack By Numbers toys are recommended for kids 5 and up. Younger kids may need some help, but n had no problem figuring everything out by himself.

What Am I Feeling? by Dr. Josh & Christi Straub is a wonderful book to read to young children who may not know how to name their feelings. I currently work in a Transitional Kindergarten class, and I regularly observe how some kids do not know how to express their feelings. Being unable to express feelings can lead to frustration, anger and conflict. This book shows children that it is acceptable to have different feelings, but emphasizes that “a feeling is just a feeling–it’s not in charge of you.”
The simple story line follows a boy through his day at school. The boy and his friends experience various feelings as different situations arise. The feeling words are highlighted in red and make it easy to discuss the characters’ feelings. The book also teaches kids that they should go to God when they are having difficulties. The book also comes with a cute and helpful illustrated poster of different feelings. Emotional intelligence is an important skill for children to develop, and What Am I Feeling? is a useful teaching tool for kids.

Mrs. Renfro’s is a family business based in Texas that has been around for 78 years. They make a wide variety of salsas, dips, sauces, peppers and more. I came across their products at Expo West and knew that I would like to feature them on the blog. When I found out that I could choose two of their products for this review, I had a difficult time deciding because there were so many to choose from!
After some internal debate I decided on the Mango Habanero Salsa and the Nacho Cheese Dip.
I am happy to report that both of these products turned out to be excellent choices. I bought a large bag of tortilla chips from Costco to go with the salsa and cheese dip and my family was set for their snacking for the week! The Mango Habanero Salsa delivered sweet heat and I liked the chunky texture. The Nacho Cheese Dip was really easy to warm up and had a good cheesy flavor with bits of tomato and peppers. Any of Mrs. Renfro’s products would be a welcome addition to your next party or get together.
Mrs. Renfro’s products can be purchased on their website or on Amazon:
One of my readers will also have the opportunity to win two Mrs. Renfro’s products of their choice. (It might be a difficult decision!)

This 828 Movement Bracelet is more than just a bracelet; it provides hope. Unfortunately, educational inequality still exists in America. The 828 Movement is a non-profit that donates 100% of its net profits to underfunded urban schools in the United States.
According to the 828 Movement website, 828 represents several significant days in American/Black History:
August 28, 1833: Slavery was abolished in the UK which led to American abolition.
August 28, 1955: Emmett Till was brutally murdered which was a catalyst to the 1960s Civil Rights Movement.
August 28, 1963: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his “I Have a Dream Speech”.
August 28, 2005: Hurricane Katrina landed in Louisiana and the delayed response for relief impacted mainly black communities.
August 28, 2008: Barack Obama accepted the Democratic Nomination for President.
Each ring on the American-made 828 Movement Bracelets is symbolic:
• The Past: 13 metal rings To remember the 13th amendment and lives lost in the struggle to abolish slavery.
• The Present: Engraved ring for August 28th To honor the date 8/28, when important events in the fight for equality line up in history.

Mended, Restoring the Hearts of Mothers and Daughters, is a new book appropriately written by a mother-daughter team. The authors, Blythe Daniel and her mother, Helen McIntosh partnered together to write a book about strengthening mother-daughter relationships. I appreciate that the book is written by both a mother and a daughter because it offers different perspectives. As a mother and a daughter myself, I could see myself on both sides of some of the issues that the book addresses.
The mother-daughter relationship is often complicated due to different personalities, opinions and life’s circumstances. This book discusses important topics such as forgiveness, reconciliation and communication. Mended uses real life examples to show how restoration between mothers and daughters is possible when we are restored in our relationship with God. This book provides hope for both mothers and daughters and shows that brokenness does not have to be passed down from generation to generation.

More for Mom, by Kristin Funston is a book directed at moms that have a lot of juggling to do (isn’t that all of us?) There are so many things that need to be done and we all only have twenty-four hours a day. Funston, a busy mom herself, wrote this book to help other moms live a “Whole and Holy Life”. The author does not claim to be the “perfect” mom who has everything together. She shares her own struggles but exhorts her readers to pursue holiness in our everyday living. Funston emphasizes that “our holiness isn’t about anything we do but about what Christ has already done.” This book includes Biblically-based, practical advice about spiritual disciplines such as fasting and prayer. I also found the chapter about prioritizing our time very helpful. Funston writes in a down-to-earth manner and is funny and relatable. I would highly recommend More for Mom for any mom who wants “more” from this life.
