Michel et Augustin is one of those brands that exuberates joy. I recently received a care package from them and just opening this gift box of their Cookie Squares brought a smile to my face.
I immediately fell in love with the bright colors and quirky illustrations. This gift box would surely brighten the recipient’s day!

Thanks to Tryazon, we had the opportunity to try several varieties of Wiley Wallaby Gourmet Licorice. If you are a fan of licorice, Wiley Wallaby is a brand that you have to taste for yourself.
As you can see, this licorice comes in several fun and fruity flavors, including: Watermelon, Green Apple, Blasted Berry, Huckleberry, and Blueberry Pomegranate. Each piece of Wiley Wallaby licorice is short and thick. Like the package states, it has a “soft & chewy” consistency. In my opinion, what makes this licorice stand out is that the fruit flavors really come through. The watermelon flavor really does taste like watermelon!
I am a fan of sour candies, and Wiley Wallaby Sourrageous Drops definitely bring the sour. I like the blend of flavors: Lemon, Green Apple and Watermelon. This would be a good bag to bring to the movie theater (if and when you are ready for that type of activity).
These individually wrapped pieces of Wiley Wallaby licorice are so cute. I packaged them in groups of three in cellophane bags as a little party favor. The red, white and blue packaging is perfect for 4th of July celebrations.

While I am disappointed that Expo West could not be held in person this year, I am grateful to be able to connect with brands through the online platform. Recently, dining alfresco in our cozy backyard has become one of my favorite ways to connect as a family. I find that we feel more relaxed when we eat together outside, and that the conversation is more free-flowing.
One great option for healthy takeout that my family especially enjoys for a special meal together is Luna Grill. We recently ordered a Luna Grill Family Meal online and it was so nice to enjoy a freshly made meal that I did not have to cook! Each Family Meal includes:

This is the Family Meal for 4, and as you can see, it includes a good amount of food. We ordered both the chicken and sirloin kabobs, which were flavorful and tender. Each kabob is grilled fresh to order over an open flame using their special method to preserve the juices and flavor. My kids surprised themselves and said they liked the squash in the veggie kabobs!
For salads, we upgraded to the Modern Greek salad, which looked like a work of art. This salad included a rainbow of fresh vegetables and came with a tasty house vinaigrette. There was plenty of fluffy basmati rice (probably enough for 8!). Finally, it was difficult to choose a sauce since all of the options sounded delicious. However, we can definitely say the tzatziki is a winner–it complemented everything, including the pillowy pita bread. Luna Grill makes their tzatziki in house daily using yogurt, fresh mint, cucumber and more.
Luna Grill’s Family Meals are the perfect solution for your next gathering. I placed my order online and it was ready when I arrived at the restaurant. While I was there, I saw that they offer delivery so next time I’m going to give that a try! The kabobs were steaming hot and you could tell that they were grilled fresh to order. I had so much fun attending the Online Nourished Festival a few weeks ago. I always enjoy hearing about new allergen-friendly products and learning about ways to live a healthier lifestyle. One of the brands that I discovered was Sam’s Famous Salsa. According to the website, their salsas originated with a family recipe that is over one hundred years old!
Sam’s Famous Salsa comes in three different heat levels: Mild, Medium and Hot. I am not sure if my family is just used to spicy foods, but we thought the Medium tasted more like Mild and that the Hot tasted more like Medium.
Due to the use of fresh ingredients, Sam’s Famous Salsa needs to be kept refrigerated. They do not use any artificial flavors or preservatives and it is quite evident in the taste! I thought the texture of the salsa was just perfect-a little chunky, but easy to scoop up with some tortilla chips. We also tried the salsas with quesadillas and they added a real flavor punch. This salsa seriously did not last long in my house; my family gobbled it up.

Blake’s Seed Based is another company that I discovered through the Online Nourished Festival. The idea for this company was born as a result of the founder’s own nut allergy. As an athlete, he wanted to create a bar that would provide healthy fuel, without nuts. Since both of my kids are allergic to nuts, I was eager to have them try these products.
