Last month, I won tickets to see the Harlem Globetrotters at the Honda Center. I wanted to surprise k and n so I joked that they should put blindfolds on so they would not know where we were going. They took me seriously. Good thing no one thought we were kidnapping them.
I had never seen the Harlem Globetrotters live before, but I remembered seeing commercials back in the day. D saw them when he was a kid in Sacramento.
Globey, the mascot, had some impressive moves.
Kind of like this guy.
The Harlem Globetrotters played the World Stars. Guess who won?
At halftime, they sold $30 balls that the players could autograph after the game. They had a lot of takers!
D showed the kids how to do the moves to “YMCA”.
Overall, the show was pretty corny, but nothing beats hearing your kids giggle. It was fun to watch Big Easy, Too Tall and the rest of the cast of characters.
