STEM Lab Kids offers hands-on toys that help kids to develop science, technology, engineering and math skills while having fun. Walter The Walking Robot is a new educational toy that would be great to give kids ages 10-13 this holiday season.

Everything you need to build Walter, including batteries and a mini screwdriver, comes inside the kit.

I would say that building Walter The Walking Robot is a challenging project. There is a booklet with illustrated instructions, and it teaches kids the importance of paying attention to details. If a step does not work quite right, the instructions direct the child to go back and reevaluate what may have gone wrong. Learning how to problem solve is a valuable life lesson that most other toys do not teach.

Once Walter is complete, there are also fun decals that can be used to personalize Walter’s appearance.

It is kind of funny to me that games and toys I grew up with are now considered “retro”. Winning Moves has two products that bring back childhood memories: Monopoly The 1980’s Edition and Rubik’s Christmas Tree.

Monopoly was one of my favorite board games when I was a kid. This 1980’s edition is exactly how I remember it.

As we age, body aches and pains seem to become more frequent. Just the other day, I had a vigorous kitchen cleaning session. That night, I could definitely feel it in my sore arm muscles!

All Terrain Recovery Rub is a pain relieving cream that “temporarily relieves minor aches, pain of muscles and joints due to arthritis, simple backaches, sprains, strains and bruises.” This cream contains 5% Menthol. As soon as I applied it, I felt the familiar tingly/cooling sensation that Menthol products produce. The tension in my muscles seemed to melt away just minutes after application. In addition, the scent was not unpleasantly strong like other similar products.

I think that All Terrain Recovery Rub is a good product to have on hand because you never know when you will need it. In fact, I just gave some to my husband for his achy neck and shoulders caused by working at his computer all day. Whether you experience chronic or occasional pain, All Terrain Recovery Rub is worth looking into.

I recently received the Let’s Start Coding Code Rocket to review, so I had my son test it out. The kit is about the size of a deck of cards, and includes the following:

During the past few years, I have slowly been trying to replace my plastic containers with glass containers. Recently I discovered a company called Wean Green. They make glass containers in a variety of sizes that are free of BPA, PVC’s and Phthalates.

The glass that Wean Green uses is 4-5 times stronger than regular glass. This was apparent as soon as I opened the box. You can tell these containers are durable. In addition, the glass will not stain, which often happens with plastic containers.

I really likes the snack-size containers for lunch prep and snacks. These containers make it so easy to have fresh healthy snacks ready to go. Using Wean Green containers also eliminates the need of using single-use plastic when packing school lunches.
